Motorcycle Detailing
Remove any side panniers/bags (if necessary)
Inspect paintwork for swirl marks and minor scratches
Pre-spray painted parts with detailing detergent
Pre-spray engine components with engine degreaser
Pre-rinse
Degrease wheels removing brake dust etc.
Hot wash with Carnuba Wax shampoo using specialist detailing sponge
Rinse
Remove excess water by using air compressor
Dry with microfibre cloth
Remove any contaminants (such as tar) from the paintwork, chrome and wheels with a clay bar
Remove all swirl marks and light scratches, using a non abrasive compound
Cleanse paintwork with cleaner fluid
Apply Carnuba Wax treatment to all painted surfaces & allow to cure
Gently buff all painted surfaces with microfibre cloth
Polish and protect all chrome using specialist wax
Polish wheels with specialist wax containing Teflon (which helps prevent build up of brake dust)
Treat all rubber & plastics
Clean any condition any leather side panniers/bags
Treat any leather side panniers/bad with specialist leather feed
Polish all instruments and glass

The Triumph in the gallery above (the burgundy coloured bike) was detailed to perfection. It won a competition shortly afterwards in the Isle of Wight, coming 1st out of 40 motorcycles. My technique brought out the lustre in the paintwork and chrome. I don't just polish the bike, I seal the paintwork, chrome and other porous surfaces, including the windshield/visor so that the rain just beads off.
